The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Alcorn Central Bears (Glen, MS) and the host Pass Christian Pirates (Pass Christian, MS), saw Alcorn Central's volleyball squad beat Pass Christian by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Alcorn Central upgrades its record to 3-0 on the year. The Bears travel to Our Lady Academy (Bay St. Louis, MS) to play the Crescents in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 5. The Crescents go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Our Lady Academy won 2-1 in their recent non-league bout against Lafayette (Oxford, MS)

The Pirates now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Ocean Springs for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 5. Pass Christian will play a Greyhounds squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS). The Greyhounds record now stands at 3-0.
