Georgia High School Softball - Pelham bounces Atkinson County
August 9, 2025: Pearson, GA 31642 In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Pelham Hornets softball team scored a nice 16-8 win over the Atkinson County Rebels.
The Hornets (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Brooks County (Quitman, GA). The Trojans come into the non-league match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Brooks County was routed by Cook (Adel, GA), 15-0, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Rebels battle the Charlton County Indians (Folkston, GA) in a 1A D-II Region 2 match, on Tuesday, August 12. Atkinson County will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Indians come into the match with a 2-3 record after their 14-4 non-league loss to Brunswick (Brunswick, GA).
