Georgia High School Softball - Westlake bounces South Cobb
August 11, 2021: Atlanta, GA 30331 Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Westlake Lions (Atlanta, GA) and the visiting South Cobb Eagles (Austell, GA), witnessed Westlake's softball squad prevail over South Cobb by a count of 19-4.
The Lions now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Creekside for a non-league match on Thursday, August 12. Westlake will face a Seminoles squad coming off a 32-21 non-league loss to Langston Hughes (Fairburn, GA). The Seminoles record now stands at 0-2.
With the loss, South Cobb moves to 0-3 on the season. The Eagles host Temple (Temple, GA) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Wednesday, August 18. The Tigers go into the match with a record of 3-2. Temple lost 14-2 in their recent non-league match against Bowdon (Bowdon, GA)
