In Friday's non-league contest, the Memorial Mustangs (Houston, TX) volleyball squad nudged the visiting Cypress Springs Panthers (Cypress, TX), by a margin of 2-1.

Next up, the Mustangs battle the Cypress Lakes Spartans (Katy, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, August 11. Memorial will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record. The Spartans go into the contest with a 0-4 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Fort Bend Austin (Sugar Land, TX).

With the loss, Cypress Springs moves to 2-5 on the year. The Panthers travel to Paetow (Katy, TX) to battle the Panthers in a non-league contest on Friday, August 11.
