Kentucky High School Soccer - Mercer County held off by Nelson County
August 11, 2025: Harrodsburg, KY 40330 Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Nelson County Cardinals (Bardstown, KY) and the host Mercer County Titans (Harrodsburg, KY), saw Nelson County's soccer squad hold off Mercer County by a count of 2-1.
The Cardinals (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Taylor County (Campbellsville, KY). The Cardinals enter the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Taylor County tipped Casey County (Liberty, KY), 8-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Titans battle the Somerset Briar Jumpers (Somerset, KY) in a non-league match, on Thursday, August 14. Mercer County will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Briar Jumpers come into the match with a 1-1 record after their 5-0 league win over Casey County (Liberty, KY).
