August 12, 2025: Greensboro, NC 27410 Bishop McGuinness Villains (Kernersville, NC) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Western Guilford Hornets (Greensboro, NC), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Bishop McGuinness improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Villains travel to Christ the King (Huntersville, NC) to encounter the Crusaders in a non-league test on Thursday, August 14. The Crusaders go into the test with a record of 0-0.
The Hornets now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southern Guilford for a non-league game on Wednesday, August 13. Western Guilford will face a Storm squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Ragsdale (Jamestown, NC). The Storm record now stands at 0-1.
