Kentucky High School Soccer - Russell nudges Montgomery County
August 12, 2025: Mt. Sterling, KY 40353 In Tuesday's non-league outing, the visiting Russell Red Devils soccer squad scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Montgomery County Indians.
The Red Devils (1-1) will now prepare for their outing against Menifee County (Frenchburg, KY). The Wildcats go into the non-league outing with a 2-0 record. In their last outing, Menifee County got by Paris (Paris, KY), 6-2, in a non-league outing.
In their next game, the Indians clash with the Rowan County Vikings (Morehead, KY) in a non-league test, on Thursday, August 14. Montgomery County will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record. The Vikings come into the test with a 1-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Boyd County (Ashland, KY).
