Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Johnson Jaguars (Buda, TX) and the host Wimberley Texans (Wimberley, TX), observed Johnson's volleyball team hold off Wimberley by a count of 3-2.

The Jaguars (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Garland (Garland, TX). The Owls go into the non-league battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Garland was edged by Forney (Forney, TX), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

The Texans now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nixon for a non-league battle on Thursday, August 14. Wimberley will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Weslaco (Weslaco, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-1.
