Somerset Briar Jumpers (Somerset, KY) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Mercer County Titans (Harrodsburg, KY), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Briar Jumpers face the Model Patriots (Richmond, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 16. Somerset will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Bath County (Owingsville, KY).

The Titans now have a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Jessamine for a District 46 challenge on Tuesday, August 16. Mercer County will face a Jaguars team coming off a 2-1 league loss to West Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY). The Jaguars record now stands at 0-1.
