August 13, 2025: Monticello, GA 31064 In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Jasper County Hurricanes (Monticello, GA) softball team the visiting Mary Persons Bulldogs (Forsyth, GA), by a margin of 3-1.
The Hurricanes now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oglethorpe County for a non-league outing on Thursday, August 14. Jasper County will encounter a Patriots team coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Clarke Central (Athens, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 3-0.
With the loss, Mary Persons drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Upson-Lee (Thomaston, GA) to clash with the Knights in a 3A Region 2 test on Thursday, August 14. The Knights go into the test with a record of 1-3. Upson-Lee lost 16-8 in their recent league test against Spalding (Griffin, GA)
