Georgia High School Softball - Marist can't hold off Pope
August 14, 2021: Marietta, GA 30062 The Pope Greyhounds softball team scored 4 runs and limited the visiting Marist War Eagles to 3 in the Greyhounds non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Pope improves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Greyhounds travel to Kennesaw Mountain (Kennesaw, GA) to clash with the Mustangs in a AAAAAA Region 6 game on Tuesday, August 17. The Mustangs come into the game with a record of 2-0. Kennesaw Mountain won 10-9 in their recent non-league game against McEachern (Powder Springs, GA)
In their next game, the War Eagles clash with the Wesleyan Wolves (Norcross, GA) in a non-league game, on Monday, August 16. Marist will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Wolves come into the game with a 3-1 record after their 6-3 non-league loss to Thomas County Central (Thomasville, GA).
