North Carolina High School Soccer - Central Academy nudges Lake Norman Charter

August 14, 2023: Huntersville, NC 28078

Central Academy Cougars (Monroe, NC) supporters were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Lake Norman Charter Knights (Huntersville, NC), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cougars confront the West Cabarrus Wolverines (Concord, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, August 17. Central Academy will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 4-2 non-league win over Mount Tabor (Winston-Salem, NC).

The Knights now possess a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Community School of Davidson for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, August 15.
