August 14, 2023: Cyril, OK 73029 The Cyril Pirates softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Grandfield Bearcats to 0 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Monday.
With the triumph, Cyril moves its record to 6-0 on the year. The Pirates host Chickasha (Chickasha, OK) to play the Fighting Chicks in a non-league game on Tuesday, August 15. The Fighting Chicks come into the game with a record of 0-4. Chickasha 0-0 in their recent league game against Bridge Creek (Blanchard, OK)
In their next game, the Bearcats play the Waurika Eagles (Waurika, OK) in a non-league game, on Monday, August 21. Grandfield will attempt to move on its 5-3 season record. The Eagles come into the game with a 3-8 record after their 12-4 league loss to Empire (Duncan, OK).
