Pinewood Christian Patriots (Bellville, GA) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Robert Toombs Christian Academy Crusaders (Lyons, GA), 24-14 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Pinewood Christian upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Patriots host Brentwood (Sandersville, GA) to confront the War Eagles in a non-league match on Friday, August 22. The War Eagles enter the match with a record of 1-0. Brentwood won 21-0 in their recent non-league match against Trinity Christian (Dublin, GA)

Coming up next, the Crusaders confront the Edmund Burke Academy Spartans (Waynesboro, GA) in a non-league match, on Friday, August 22. Robert Toombs Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Spartans enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 30-6 non-league win over St. Andrew's (Savannah, GA).
