Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Falls Lake Firebirds (Creedmoor, NC) and the visiting Carrboro Jaguars (Carrboro, NC), observed Falls Lake's volleyball team top Carrboro by a count of 2-0.

The Firebirds (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Wakefield (Raleigh, NC). The Wolverines enter the non-league battle with a 1-1 record.

The Jaguars now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Person for a non-league battle on Tuesday, August 19. Carrboro will encounter a Rockets squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Roxboro Community (Roxboro, NC). The Rockets record now stands at 2-0.
