August 15, 2023: Garden Grove, CA 92844 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Costa Mesa Mustangs (Costa Mesa, CA) and the host Bolsa Grande Matadors (Garden Grove, CA), saw Costa Mesa's volleyball squad nip Bolsa Grande by a tally of 3-2.
With the win, Costa Mesa upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Mustangs host La Quinta (Westminster, CA) to play the Aztecs in a non-league bout on Thursday, August 17. The Aztecs go into the bout with a record of 1-0. La Quinta won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Magnolia (Anaheim, CA)
The Matadors now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Oxford Academy for a non-league bout on Friday, August 18. Bolsa Grande will play a Patriots squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Santa Ana Valley (Santa Ana, CA). The Patriots record now stands at 1-1.
