California High School Volleyball - Katella can't get by Western
August 15, 2024: Anaheim, CA 92806 Western Pioneers (Anaheim, CA) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host Katella Knights (Anaheim, CA), 3-2 in a non-league test.
With the win, Western advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Pioneers travel to Estancia (Costa Mesa, CA) to face the Eagles in a non-league test on Tuesday, August 20. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 3-0. Estancia won 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Santa Ana (Santa Ana, CA)
The Knights now sport a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Corona for a non-league test on Saturday, August 17. Katella will face a Panthers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Heritage (Menifee, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 2-0.
