Georgia High School Football - Luella thwarted by Hampton
August 15, 2025: Hampton, GA 30228 Hampton Hornets (Hampton, GA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Luella Lions (Luella, GA), 21-0 in a non-league battle.
The Hornets (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Stockbridge (Stockbridge, GA). The Tigers come into the AAAA Region 2 match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Stockbridge defeated Dutchtown (Hampton, GA), 59-14, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Lions confront the Carver Panthers (Atlanta, GA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, August 22. Luella will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Panthers go into the battle with a 1-0 record after their 12-7 non-league win over Southwest DeKalb (Decatur, GA).
