Providence Grove Patriots (Franklinville, NC) backers exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Southern Guilford Storm (Greensboro, NC), 7-6 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Providence Grove advances its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Central Davidson (Lexington, NC) to clash with the Spartans in a non-league game on Monday, August 18. The Spartans come into the game with a record of 0-2. Central Davidson lost 9-0 in their recent non-league game against Glenn (Kernersville, NC)
