Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC) and the host Union County Yellowjackets (Union, SC), observed Kings Mountain's volleyball team top Union County by a count of 2-0.

The Mountaineers (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against South Iredell (Statesville, NC). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, South Iredell was knocked off by North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Yellowjackets encounter the Spring Valley Vikings (Columbia, SC) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, August 16. Union County will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
