New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Blue Ridge Christian Bears (Bridgewater, VA), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, New Covenant moves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Gryphons host Veritas School (Richmond, VA) to clash with the Lions in a VISAA - Independent test on Thursday, August 22. The Lions come into the test with a record of 0-0.

The Bears now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host United Christian Academy for a non-league test on Thursday, August 22.
