Smithson Valley Rangers (Spring Branch, TX) boosters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host United South Panthers (Laredo, TX), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Smithson Valley improves its record to 3-2 on the season. The Rangers travel to Taft (San Antonio, TX) to face the Raiders in a non-league test on Friday, August 16. The Raiders go into the test with a record of 1-0. Taft won 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Medina Valley (Castroville, TX)

The Panthers now own a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southwest for a non-league test on Saturday, August 17. United South will face a Dragons squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Warren (San Antonio, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 0-3.
