Utah High School Soccer - Payson nudges Granger
August 16, 2025: Payson, UT 84651 In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Payson Lions soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Granger Lancers.
The Lions (2-2) will now prepare for their outing against Timpview (Provo, UT). The Thunderbirds go into the 5A Region 7 outing with a 3-1 record. In their last outing, Timpview got by Alta (Sandy, UT), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Lancers now sport a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they host Taylorsville for a 5A Region 4 test on Tuesday, August 19. Granger will clash with a Warriors team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Murray (Murray, UT). The Warriors record now stands at 0-4.
