August 16, 2025: Jewett, TX 75846 Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Leon Cougars (Jewett, TX) and the visiting Lorena Leopards (Lorena, TX), saw Leon's volleyball squad achieve victory over Lorena by a score of 2-0.
With the win, Leon improves its record to 6-0 on the season. The Cougars host Grandview (Grandview, TX) to encounter the Zebras in a non-league test on Saturday, August 16. The Zebras go into the test with a record of 4-1. Grandview won 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Blum (Blum, TX)
The Leopards now own a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brazos Christian for a non-league test on Saturday, August 16. Lorena will meet a Eagles team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Franklin (Franklin, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 3-1.
