In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the San Benito Greyhounds.

The Patriots (7-0) will now prepare for their test against Pace (Brownsville, TX). The Vikings go into the non-league test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Pace nudged Cigarroa (Laredo, TX), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Greyhounds now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pace for a non-league test on Thursday, August 21.
