August 17, 2021: Buena Vista, GA 31803 The Marion County Eagles softball team scored 15 runs and limited the visiting Westwood Wildcats to 0 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Tuesday.
With the triumph, Marion County moves its record to 6-3 on the year. The Eagles host Wilcox County (Rochelle, GA) to meet the Patriots in a non-league battle on Wednesday, August 18. The Patriots go into the battle with a record of 4-2. Wilcox County won 8-0 in their recent league battle against Treutlen (Soperton, GA)
The Wildcats now sport a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Southland Academy for a non-league battle on Thursday, August 19. Westwood will meet a Raiders squad coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Windsor Academy (Macon, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 1-2.
