Georgia High School Softball - Marion County knocked off by Wilcox County
August 17, 2022: Rochelle, GA 31079 In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Wilcox County Patriots (Rochelle, GA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Marion County Eagles (Buena Vista, GA), by a margin of 8-0.
With the triumph, Wilcox County moves its record to 5-0 on the year. The Patriots host Wheeler County (Alamo, GA) to play the Bulldogs in a 1A D-II Region 4 contest on Thursday, August 18. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a record of 2-6. Wheeler County lost 6-1 in their recent non-league contest against Portal (Portal, GA)
In their next game, the Eagles play the Lamar County Trojans (Barnesville, GA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, August 20. Marion County will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record.
