August 17, 2023: Lufkin, TX 75901 The Lufkin Panthers volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting New Diana Eagles to 0 in the Panthers non-league victory on Thursday.
The Panthers now possess a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bellaire for a non-league game on Friday, August 18. Lufkin will meet a Cardinals team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Tatum (Tatum, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-8.
The Eagles (3-5) will now prepare for their game against Little Cypress-Mauriceville (Orange, TX). The Bears enter the non-league game with a 7-5 record. In their last game, Little Cypress-Mauriceville was dropped by White Oak (White Oak, TX), 2-0, in a non-league game.
