In Thursday's non-league match, the host New Hampstead Phoenix football squad scored a good 47-27 victory over the May River Sharks .

In their next game, the Phoenix clash with the Windsor Forest Knights (Savannah, GA) in a non-league match, on Friday, August 26. New Hampstead will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Knights enter the match with a 0-1 record after their 31-0 non-league loss to Savannah Country Day (Savannah, GA).

The Sharks (0-1) will now prepare for their match against West Ashley (Charleston, SC). The Wildcats enter the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, West Ashley thwarted Lower Richland (Hopkins, SC), 20-12, in a non-league match.
