Ponca City Wildcats (Ponca City, OK) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Perkins-Tryon Demons (Perkins, OK), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chickasha for a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 18. Ponca City will battle a Fighting Chicks squad coming off a 17-3 non-league win over Bethany (Bethany, OK). The Fighting Chicks record now stands at 3-2.
