In Thursday's non-league contest, the Seventy-First Falcons (Fayetteville, NC) volleyball squad were winner over the visiting Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC), by a margin of 3-0.

Next up, the Falcons face the Jack Britt Buccaneers (Fayetteville, NC) in a United Eight 3A/4A contest, on Saturday, August 20. Seventy-First will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Buccaneers go into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Union Pines (Cameron, NC).

With the loss, Hoke County moves to 0-3 on the year. The Bucks travel to Gray's Creek (Hope Mills, NC) to face the Bears in a non-league contest on Tuesday, August 23. The Bears go into the contest with a record of 3-0. Gray's Creek won 3-0 in their recent non-league contest against St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC)
