August 18, 2022: Waco, TX 76705 The Monterey Plainsmen volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host La Vega Pirates to 0 in the Plainsmen non-league victory on Thursday.
The Plainsmen now possess a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rogers for a non-league game on Thursday, August 18. Monterey will meet a Eagles team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Taylor (Taylor, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 2-1.
The Pirates (0-4) will now prepare for their game against Killeen (Killeen, TX). The Kangaroos enter the non-league game with a 5-5 record. In their last game, Killeen defeated Waco (Waco, TX), 3-2, in a non-league game.
