In Thursday's non-league contest, the Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) volleyball squad nudged the visiting Randleman Tigers (Randleman, NC), by a margin of 3-2.

Next up, the Rams battle the Statesville Greyhounds (Statesville, NC) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, August 24. Starmount will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record.

With the loss, Randleman moves to 1-1 on the year. The Tigers travel to Eastern Randolph (Ramseur, NC) to battle the Wildcats in a Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A contest on Tuesday, August 30. The Wildcats go into the contest with a record of 1-0.
