In Thursday's non-league contest, the Union Spartans (Rose Hill, NC) volleyball squad were winner over the host West Columbus Vikings (Cerro Gordo, NC), by a margin of 3-0.

Next up, the Spartans battle the West Bladen Knights (Bladenboro, NC) in a non-league contest, on Monday, August 22. Union will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Knights go into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC).
