The East Rutherford Cavaliers thwarted the visiting Bessemer City Yellow Jackets football team by a count of 28-12 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, East Rutherford upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Cavaliers travel to T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC) to encounter the Rams in a non-league outing on Friday, August 25. The Rams go into the outing with a record of 0-1. T.C. Roberson lost 13-12 in their recent non-league outing against Watauga (Boone, NC)

With the loss, Bessemer City moves to 0-1 on the season. The Yellow jackets travel to North Gaston (Dallas, NC) to encounter the Wildcats in a non-league outing on Friday, August 25. The Wildcats go into the outing with a record of 0-1. North Gaston lost 29-14 in their recent non-league outing against East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC)
