The Decatur Central Hawks (Indianapolis, IN) football edged the host Columbus North Bull Dogs (Columbus, IN), 18-14 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Hawks face the New Palestine Dragons (New Palestine, IN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, August 25. Decatur Central will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Dragons enter the bout with a 0-1 record after their 34-14 non-league loss to Westfield (Westfield, IN).

The Bull Dogs (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Columbus East (Columbus, IN). The Olympians enter the non-league bout with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, Columbus East was nudged by Bloomington South (Bloomington, IN), 45-10, in a non-league bout.
