The Covington Trojans topped the visiting Tri-County Cavaliers football team by a final score of 34-16 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Covington improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Trojans host South Newton (Kentland, IN) to confront the Rebels in a non-league outing on Friday, August 25. The Rebels go into the outing with a record of 1-0. South Newton won 46-0 in their recent non-league outing against Lake Station Edison (Lake Station, IN)

With the loss, Tri-County moves to 0-1 on the season. The Cavaliers travel to Attica (Attica, IN) to confront the Red Ramblers in a non-league outing on Friday, August 25. The Red Ramblers go into the outing with a record of 0-1. Attica lost 28-0 in their recent non-league outing against Finneytown (Cincinnati, OH)
