In Friday's non-league game, the East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) football team knocked off the visiting North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC), by a final score of 29-14.

The Warriors (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC). The Cardinals come into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Corvian Community toppled Covenant Day (Matthews, NC), 29-27, in a non-league game.

The Wildcats now hold a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Bessemer City for a non-league game on Friday, August 25. North Gaston will battle a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 28-12 non-league loss to East Rutherford (Forest City, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 0-1.
