North Carolina High School Football - East Mecklenburg drops to Berry

In Friday's non-league game, the Berry Cardinal (Charlotte, NC) football team knocked off the visiting East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC), by a final score of 32-24.

The Cardinal (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Garinger (Charlotte, NC). The Wildcats come into the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Garinger was dropped by Hopewell (Huntersville, NC), 52-0, in a non-league game.

The Eagles now hold a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Palisades for a non-league game on Friday, August 25. East Mecklenburg will battle a Pumas team coming off a 28-19 non-league loss to West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC). The Pumas record now stands at 0-1.
