California High School Football - Mount Miguel routs Sweetwater

August 18, 2023: National City, CA 91950

The Mount Miguel Matadors football squad scored 48 points and restricted the host Sweetwater Red Devils to 14 in the Matadors non-league victory on Friday.

The Matadors now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chula Vista for a non-league battle on Friday, August 25. Mount Miguel will face a Spartans squad coming off a 48-26 non-league win over La Jolla Country Day (La Jolla, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 1-0.

Coming up next, the Red Devils face the Santana Sultans (Santee, CA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, August 25. Sweetwater will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Sultans enter the battle with a 1-0 record after their 40-21 non-league win over Canyon Hills (San Diego, CA).
