Georgia High School Softball - Westfield School bounces Lanier County
August 18, 2023: Lakeland, GA 31635 The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Westfield School Hornets (Perry, GA) and the host Lanier County Bulldogs (Lakeland, GA), saw Westfield School's softball squad nip Lanier County by a count of 5-1.
The Hornets now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Loganville Christian Academy for a non-league match on Tuesday, August 22. Westfield School will face a Lions squad coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Piedmont Academy (Monticello, GA). The Lions record now stands at 3-4.
With the loss, Lanier County falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Dodge County (Eastman, GA) to face the Indians in a non-league match on Saturday, August 19. The Indians enter the match with a record of 1-3. Dodge County won 6-0 in their recent non-league match against Jones County (Gray, GA)
