Tennessee High School Volleyball - Jonesboro can't hold off Rhea County
August 18, 2023: Evensville, TN 37332 In Friday's non-league battle, the host Rhea County Golden Eagles volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Jonesboro Cardinals.
The Golden Eagles (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Ooltewah (Ooltewah, TN). The Owls come into the AAA District 5 battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Ooltewah was edged by Page (Franklin, TN), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Cardinals encounter the Greeneville Greene Devils (Greeneville, TN) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, August 19. Jonesboro will attempt to move on its 5-5 season record. The Greene Devils come into the battle with a 1-2 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Unicoi County (Erwin, TN).
