North Carolina High School Volleyball - Weddington over Lake Norman

August 18, 2025: Matthews, NC 28104

The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) and the visiting Lake Norman Wildcats (Mooresville, NC), saw Weddington's volleyball squad notch a victory over Lake Norman by a score of 3-1.

With the win, Weddington improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Warriors travel to Independence (Charlotte, NC) to meet the Patriots in a non-league contest on Tuesday, August 19. The Patriots enter the contest with a record of 2-0. Independence won 3-0 in their recent non-league contest against Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC)

Next, the Wildcats meet the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, August 20. Lake Norman will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Mavericks go into the test with a 6-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over River Bluff (Lexington, SC).
