In Thursday's non-league match, the host Howard Huskies football squad scored a good 16-7 victory over the Central Chargers.

In their next game, the Huskies clash with the Southwest Patriots (Macon, GA) in a AA Region 3 match, on Friday, August 27. Howard will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record.

The Chargers (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Northeast (Macon, GA). The Raiders enter the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Northeast gained a win over Jones County (Gray, GA), 33-28, in a non-league contest.
