In Friday's non-league game, the Oakdale Mustangs (Oakdale, CA) football team tipped the host Sonora Wildcats (Sonora, CA), by a final score of 27-21.

The Mustangs (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Aptos (Aptos, CA). The Mariners come into the non-league game with a 0-0 record.

The Wildcats now hold a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ripon for a non-league game on Friday, August 26. Sonora will battle a Indians team coming off a 28-14 non-league loss to East Union (Manteca, CA). The Indians record now stands at 0-1.
