Kentucky High School Soccer - Owensboro knocks off Calloway County
August 19, 2023: Owensboro, KY 42301 Owensboro Red Devils (Owensboro, KY) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Calloway County Lakers (Murray, KY), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Red Devils confront the Central Hardin Bruins (Cecilia, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 26. Owensboro will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Bruins enter the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 5-1 non-league win over Larue County (Hodgenville, KY).
The Lakers now have a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they host Graves County for a non-league challenge on Monday, August 21. Calloway County will confront a Eagles team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Mayfield (Mayfield, KY). The Eagles record now stands at 0-2.
