North Carolina High School Volleyball - Pickens tips Pinecrest
August 19, 2023: Southern Pines, NC 28387 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Pickens Blue Flame (Pickens, SC) and the host Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC), saw Pickens's volleyball squad nip Pinecrest by a tally of 2-1.
With the win, Pickens upgrades its record to 4-1 on the year. The Blue Flame travel to Weddington (Matthews, NC) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 19. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Weddington won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Cox Mill (Concord, NC)
The Patriots now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Ashley for a non-league bout on Thursday, August 24.
