August 19, 2023: Cleveland, TX 77327 The Lovelady Lions held off the host Cleveland Indians volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Lions now have a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Onalaska for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 22. Lovelady will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Livingston (Livingston, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-6.
The Indians (3-6) will now prepare for their test against Splendora (Splendora, TX). The Wildcats enter the non-league test with a 6-6 record. In their last test, Splendora was nudged by Nederland (Nederland, TX), 2-0, in a non-league test.
