The Sandy Valley Cardinals volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Malvern Hornets to 1 in the Cardinals non-league victory on Saturday.

The Cardinals now have a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fairless for a non-league game on Saturday, August 19.

The Hornets (0-2) will now prepare for their game against Garaway (Sugarcreek, OH). The Pirates enter the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Garaway held off Coshocton (Coshocton, OH), 2-1, in a non-league game.
