Villa Rica Wildcats (Villa Rica, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Haralson County Rebels (Tallapoosa, GA), 8-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host East Paulding for a 7-AAAAA challenge on Tuesday, August 23.

With the loss, Haralson County falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Rebels host Sonoraville (Calhoun, GA) to face the Phoenix in a 6-AAA challenge on Tuesday, August 23. The Phoenix enter the challenge with a record of 4-3. Sonoraville lost 8-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Chattooga (Summerville, GA)
